Ordinary carbon plates is a kind of common structure steel plate, the iron content is more than 99%, and carbon content is less than 0.21%. The main composition of general carbon plate is C, Si, Mn, S and N, H, O etc. Usually, the ferroalloy carbon content less than 4.5% is called steel; while the ferroalloy carbon content more than 4.5% is called iron. Actually, steelmaking is a process of removing excess carbon. For example, Q235A/B/C/D Q295A/B/C/D are general carbon steel plate.

Remarks:
Carbon structural steel is carbon steel of carbon content less than 0.8%, which content of S, Pi and non-metallic is less than carbon structural steel, and mechanical performance is good.
According to carbon content, carbon structural steel can be divided into low carbon steel (C≤0.25%), medium carbon steel (C is 0.25-0.6%) and high carbon steel (C>0.6%).
According to Mn content, carbon structural steel includes normal Mn content (0.25%-0.8%) and higher Mn content (0.70%-1.20%), and the latter has good mechanical properties and process ability.
According to carbon content, carbon structural steel can be divided into low carbon steel (C≤0.25%), medium carbon steel (C is 0.25-0.6%) and high carbon steel (C>0.6%).
